Does a Ghost immobiliser work on a Range Rover?+
Yes. The Autowatch Ghost II is fully compatible with the modern Range Rover range — Sport, Vogue, Velar, Evoque, Defender and Discovery. It communicates over the vehicle's CAN bus, so it works with the factory keyless system without any cut or spliced wiring.
How much does a Range Rover Ghost immobiliser cost?+
From £499 RRP supplied and fitted for a standard Ghost II install. Bundled with a self-monitored GPS security tracker it is £599, and with a Thatcham S5 monitored tracker £799. Prices include mobile fitting at your address, PIN programming and the insurance certificate.
Will it affect my Land Rover warranty?+
No. Ghost II plugs into the existing CAN network — nothing is cut, spliced or permanently altered, so the install is reversible and does not invalidate your JLR warranty or service plan.
Can thieves bypass a Ghost on a Range Rover?+
A Ghost II has no LEDs, no fob and no radio signal, so there is nothing for a thief to detect, jam or clone. Even with your genuine key or a cloned key, the engine will not start until the correct PIN sequence is entered through the vehicle's existing buttons.
Do insurers accept a Ghost on a Range Rover?+
